Vintage Hi-Way Patrol Coin Operated Kiddie Ride / Arcade Driving Game

The Hi-Way Patrol Kiddie Ride / Arcade Game was manufactured during the 1950's, by All-Tech Industries, located in Hialeah, Florida. This seldom seen 1950's survivor, Hi-Way Patrol Kiddie Ride introduced an entirely new dimension of innovation in child entertainment, combining the features of a kiddie ride with the added dimension of an exciting, interactive arcade game. The object of the game was to pull over the bad guy in the speeding getaway car before you lose him. The ride features an illuminated animation for the getaway car and a Highway Patrol Car that moves across the backglass display showing the cars driving down a curving road.

The screen lights up and shows the Highway Patrol Car and the getaway car. The Highway Patrol Car is a black and white, 1950's Chevrolet Highway Patrol Car. Each of the cars has its own lane. The ride features a floor mounted gas pedal which allows the Highway Patrol Car to speed-up or slow down to catch the bad guy in the getaway car.

Once you maneuver / steer the Highway Patrol Car to get along-side the getaway car, the rider / driver can steer the Highway Patrol Car into the path of the getaway car to cut him off. By cutting-off the getaway car, the rider gains points in the game. Then depending upon how many times the getaway car is caught during the game, you score a promotion giving you a ranking... Trooper, Sergeant, Lieutenant and Captain The attached pictures tell the story on this Hi-Way Patrol Kiddie Ride. This unique ride is a rare survivor and is being offered in its original, unrestored, used condition.

The ride has bumps and bruises, scrapes and scratches, with plenty of paint loss and wear... All of which are consistent with its 60 plus years of maturity, usage and having provided enjoyment to many young future Highway Patrol and Police officers over those years.

The overall condition of the ride appears to be in good original condition. This Hi-Way Patrol Ride has been kept in storage for years and is NOT currently working. The ride is being offered as shown in the attached pictures, in "as-is" condition. The light on top of the display screen box flashes while the ride/game is playing. The rider's seat also vibrates while the ride is operating to simulate the running motor of the Highway Patrol Car.
